busID cards are issued free to young people aged 5-18 and who are permanent residents in the Brighton & Hove area or near one of our bus routes in East or West Sussex or Kent, to be eligible for a busID card. You can get one by completing an application form together with a passport size photo and proof of your date of birth which can be either a Birth Certificate, Passport or Medical Card. Forms available at most secondary schools or from our 1 Stop Travel shop at 26 North Street, Brighton, BN1 1EB or at our reception at 43 Conway Street, Hove, BN3 3LT.
If you are aged 14 - 18 you must have a busID card to travel at child rate half price fares otherwise we charge the full adult rate.
We renew your busID card when you become 10 and 15 but you can renew at any time if you look a little older. After you are 15 your busID will continue to be valid until the end of the August after your 18th birthday.
If you live in West Sussex, East Sussex or Kent and travel on bus routes run by other bus companies, you might prefer to obtain special fare offers available exclusively in those areas. See below for more details.

If you don't travel often enough to use one of our existing period SAVERs, then the Multi Trip ticket can offer you savings on your bus travel with the added flexibility on when to use them.They are available in the Brighton & Hove citySAVER area (Shoreham - Patcham - Falmer - Saltdean) see map. You can use them on Night buses too.
These tickets allow you to purchase single journey tickets in bulk. The more you purchase the bigger the discount. They can be activated at any point within a year from purchase so you don't have to use them all up at once. A maximum of 50 can be held on the card.

Sibling SAVER - discounts are available to parents buying more than one 90 day and 12 month BusID city or networkSAVER on key cards for children living at the same address.
The first busID card holder at an address is charged normal price. Any additional children (purchased at the same time during the same transaction) are charged these discounted prices - 90 days for £20 off and 12 months for £90 off. Only available on tickets purchased in person at 1 Stop Travel, North Street, Brighton BN1 1EB or at our reception at 43 Conway Street, Hove, BN3 3LT.
Please bring medical cards for each child, proof that they live at the same address and busID.
Tickets purchased together can have different start dates on each card. Retrospective discounts are not permitted.
Please note when you are using a reduced price SAVER ticket on the bus it must be presented with your valid busID Card. Failure to do so may result in having to pay the normal fare and could result in a penalty fare and withdrawal of your reduced price SAVER.

The West Sussex 3in1 card ceases to be valid from 31 December 2016, a busID card is a great option to get cheaper fares.
Do you live in East Sussex and travel on bus routes run by other bus companies?
Under 19s living in East Sussex are able get a card which allows the purchase of a Freedom ticket from the driver for £16 per week, which is accepted for travel on most buses in East Sussex. 14-18 year olds need a 3i-D or Choice iD card to buy one and don't even need to be attending school or college. On Brighton & Hove's bus network Freedom tickets are available to purchase and use on routes 12/12A/12X; 13X; 14/14A/14B/14C; 27/27B/27C; 28; 29/29B/29X; and school buses 76A; 92; 494.
Do you live in Kent and travel on bus routes run by other bus companies?
11-16 year olds can apply for a Kent Young Person's Travel Pass which provides free travel on journeys starting and/or finishing in Kent on weekdays between 0600-1900, except in August. An application fee applies. Click here for details.
