Carers' Card and Compass Card Discounts

We are pleased to now be able to offer carers holding the Carers' Card and Compass Card holders (Compass Card Brighton and Hove and Compass Card West Sussex) discounted travel on all our Brighton & Hove bus services throughout our entire network.

We recognise the commitment and dedication of unpaid Carers across the city and joining up to The Carers' Card discount scheme allows us to provide cheaper fares to passengers who are part of the scheme. We are also committed to providing disabled Compass Card holders over 18 who are not studying with affordable travel options.

How much is the discount?

Presently a passenger over 18, who is not studying, would pay full adult fare. We can now offer Carers' Card and Compass Card holders student fare prices on all key card purchases. Full details of our student prices can be found here.

Be advised that only student key card prices apply for this discount.

Who is eligible for the discount?

In order to be eligible you must be a Carers' Card holder or a Compass Card holder.

What is the Carers' Card?

Brighton & Hove Carers' Card is a Brighton & Hove City Council initiative for people providing regular unpaid help or support to someone who has a physical disability or frailty, learning disability, long-term illness, mental health problem or substance misuse issues. The card provides a full range of discounts for carers to help them look after their own health and well being. You'll find more information here www.brighton-hove.gov.uk/carers-card

What is the Compass Card?

The Compass Card is for 0 to 25 year olds (until 25th birthday) who have significant disabilities or special educational needs and who live or go to school in Brighton and Hove or West Sussex, or who are 'looked after' by Brighton & Hove City Council or West Sussex County Council. Run by Brighton-based charity, Amaze, and funded by Brighton & Hove City Council and West Sussex County Council, the card provides leisure discounts in Brighton and Hove, West Sussex and beyond.
