East Sussex Fare Discounts

Residents travelling within East Sussex have access to lots of great fare discounts as part of East Sussex County Council’s Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP).

Please note, these fares are for travel wholly within the East Sussex County Council boundaries where all journeys start and finish in East Sussex. This is available to passengers on both Brighton & Hove Buses and Metrobus.

Adult fare discounts

• Adult £1.70 fares are reduced to £1.
• Adult single fares between £2.10 and £2.90 are reduced to £2.
• Return fares are £2 and £4 respectively.
• Adult day ticket for unlimited day travel will cost £6.10 (19-29 year old £4.75)

Child fare discounts

Up to 4 children can travel for just 50p each when travelling with a fare paying adult or concessionary pass holder. Child fares for unaccompanied travel have been reduced to the following:

• £0.85 fare reduced to 50p (£1 return)
• £1.05 to £1.45 fare reduced to £1 (£2 return)
• £1.50 to £1.55 fare reduced to £1.25 (£2.50 return)
• £1.60 to £2.10 fare reduced to £1.50 (£3 return)
• £2.15 to £2.90 fare reduced to £2.00 (£3.85 return)
• £3.00 and above no change due to the national £3 fare cap.
• Child day ticket for unlimited day travel will cost £3.75
