We have updated our fares and are pleased to advise that many will continue to stay low including the £2 single fare available until at least the end of June 2024.

Short hop tickets remain unchanged at £1.70, and most adult singles and returns, have been frozen or capped as part of the £2 fare offer.

Family travel continues to offer outstanding value as part of the Bus Service Improvement Plan in Brighton & Hove with up to four young people under the age of nineteen travelling for free with a fare paying adult or concessionary pass holder. That means one adult and four children can travel for just £2! This offer will be revised in the wider East Sussex area. A 50p charge will apply to each accompanied child following a review of East Sussex Council’s budget.

In the Brighton & Hove city area young people up to the age of 19 pay just 50p after 18:00 on school days and any time at the weekend, public and school holidays. The daily citySAVER remains at £5 and the weekly citySAVER continues to be capped at £25 per week also as part of the Brighton & Hove City Council Bus Service Improvement Plan. The £25 CitySAVER weekly ticket will replace the routes 23 and 25 tickets. Discovery ticket prices remain unchanged. On the app 28-day tickets are changing to 30 days to cover more of each calendar month. Tickets for 2, 3 and 4 days are being replaced by bundles of 1-day tickets. This will provide you with more flexibility as to when you choose to use them. All child fares are frozen on the App including the £1.50 city fare whereas child on bus tickets will have increased by around 4%. Child fares are still capped at £2 as part of the government’s £2 fare offer. Monthly subscription prices on the key and on our mobile app will increase, and you will now get better value by using our app.

Some citySAVER and networkSAVER products that offer excellent value for longer-term travel will see an increase. The flexible networkSAVER price cap for tap-on-tap-off contactless users will also change as a result. Any increases are designed to help cover increased operating costs for fuel, energy, parts, and maintenance.

Our updated fares will be live on our Ways to Pay section of the website from Monday 29th April 2024.
