Standard fare

Fares from 15 January 2019

We try to make paying for bus travel as easy as possible.

There's a standard single journey fare of £2.60 throughout the Brighton & Hove area, stretching from Shoreham in the west to Falmer and Saltdean in the east. With £2.20 fares available for short hops or in the central area of the city. 

Cash and contactless fares to out-of-city destinations vary (Peacehaven, Newhaven, Seaford, Eastbourne, Lewes, Ringmer, Uckfield, Crowborough, Tunbridge Wells, Upper Beeding, Bramber and Steyning)

Route 23/25/25X/N25 ticket

This allows you travel all day on any route 23, 25, 25X or N25 bus.

Woodingdean and Lower Bevendean - Special off-peak returns

These are available on selected routes after 9am Monday - Friday and all day at weekends for £4.40

  • Routes 2, 22 and 22A to/from the city centre from any stop between Cowley Drive and Downland Road in Woodingdean.

  • Routes 1, 21 and 21A to/from the city centre from any stop between Whitehawk Swanborough Drive and Bus Garage in Whitehawk.

  • Route 48 to/from the city centre from any stop in Lower Bevendean.
