PlusBus
PLUSBUS is a train ticket that includes all local bus travel throughout Brighton & Hove and enable you to travel on any Brighton & Hove bus for the day (except west of Shoreham; north of Steyning, Patcham or Falmer; east of Seaford). Here is a map showing where you can travel.
Commuters can add the PLUSBUS facility on to their rail season ticket too and when buying rail tickets online from most train company websites. Further details are available at 1 Stop Travel and railway stations.
Please note that to be accepted for travel, you must show a physical PLUSBUS ticket to the bus driver; a printed confirmation or email confirmation on a mobile phone is not valid for travel. Further details on ticket validity can be found on the PlusBus website.
PLUSBUS is available on the Southern key smart-card in the Brighton area. You can buy them in the following ways:
- Weekly - From the Self Service Machine at the same time as your weekly ticket. Just push the 'Add PLUSBUS' button before you confirm your order.
- Monthly or Annual - By calling Customer Services on 08451 27 29 20 from Monday - Friday, between 09.00 - 17.00. Please note that you must have bought a Monthly or Annual ticket online prior to calling. Customers with a Monthly or Annual rail ticket can also buy Weekly PLUSBUS tickets during the course of the month in this way.
Lewes PLUSBUS
PLUSBUS adds bus travel to any train ticket to and from Lewes station and is valid on Brighton & Hove bus routes 28 and 29 from the Newmarket Inn through to Ringmer's Broyle Estate or the A26 junction with Barcombe Lane as well as on Compass Travel bus routes in an area bounded by Barcombe, South Chailey/Mill Lane, Rodmell and Selmeston.
You can buy PLUSBUS tickets at any station and are ideal for commuters with season tickets wanting to add bus travel on or for people visiting Lewes for the day and want to buy one inclusive ticket.
