Celebrate the historic village of Portslade during England's largest festival of history and culture!
Portslade History Day, a part of 2024 Heritage Open Days, comprises of a number of talks and events at St Nicolas Church.
Speakers include experts from the University of Sussex and Brighton and Hove Archeological society who will share insight on Portslade's World War heroes, the Romans in Sussex, and Portslade's agricultural and farming history.
In addition to talks in St Nicolas Church, there will be guided tours, medieval cooking displays and arts and crafts for children throughout the day.
Heritage Open Days take place during Catch the Bus Month, an initiative led by Bus Users UK celebrating the lifeline buses give communities.
