Santa Bus Cancelled for Kemptown, West Blatchington/Knoll and Hangleton

Due to a weather warning of high winds, we're really sorry to announce the Santa Bus will be unable to visit Kemptown, West Blatchington/Knoll tonight (5/12) and Hangleton tomorrow evening (6/12).

For any reasons beyond our control, such as adverse weather which result in the cancellation of  the Santa Bus, sadly means we will be unable to repeat the affected routes in 2024. 

This is only the third time in its 21-year history that we have been forced to cancel, but very high winds forecast today and tomorrow ahead of the arrival of Storm Darragh this weekend mean it would be unsafe to go ahead.  

Update 6/12:

We appreciate how disappointing it is that the Santa Bus is unable to visit Hangleton this evening, especially as the weather appears better this afternoon. To operate a fun and safe event with an open top bus and volunteer walkers we must follow the weather warning alerts that are showing high winds in the evening, during the time the Santa Bus would be operating.
