Service change from 5 September
Changes to bus operating times will take place from Sunday 5 September 2021. Most service changes are minor and for some routes, there will be an increased service. We recommend checking your journey times so you can get to where you need to go at a time that works for you.
Below is a summary of the main changes. Simply click on the route link in the table below or visit our online journey planner before you travel. Please continue to follow our safety guidelines when travelling by bus.
Summary of services
Routes 1, 1A, 21 and 21A will operate revised timetables.
Route 6 will offer a higher frequency of service during peak travel times.
Route 18 will operate a revised timetable.
Routes 22, 24, 26, 48, 49 & 50 will be extended to start at Churchill Square or Old Steine instead of London Road shops on some morning journeys.
Route 23 will increase to every 30 minutes and later into the evening from the 6 September. From the 19 September, there are additional afternoon journeys to and from St Luke’s Church and Sussex University from 15.00 and until 19.00.
Route 25 will be increased to operate up to every 6 minutes from 19 September.
Route 25X will be re-introduced to run every 10 minutes between Old Steine and Falmer from 19 September.
Route N25 will be increased to operate every 10 minutes on Weekdays and Saturday Nights from 19 September.
Route N1 will also provide services from Mile Oak to Churchill Square.
Routes 13X and 77 will operate a winter timetable service.
Many schools in the area return from the summer holidays on Friday 3 September.
Route 72 provides an additional journey from Longhill School to Whitehawk at 16.00 on weekdays.
Routes 492 and 494 afternoon journeys have been retimed.
School bus services will be open to all passengers.
