Buses will run normally in both directions during phases one and two of Brighton & Hove City Council's Valley Gardens project, which started on Monday 3 September and is expected to take up to 24 months.

Diversion on the 28 & 29

2nd - 26th Jan

Diversions are in place on the 28 & 29 because of roadworks. Lighting repairs and replacements will be undertaken on the eastbound carriageway of the A27 at Falmer between the above dates. During this time, the road will be formally closed between 2000 – 0600 from the exit slip from the A270 Lewes Road each evening. This will not happen when Brighton and Hove Albion evening games are scheduled to which the closure will start from 0000. These works will also not happen over the weekend. Services heading towards Lewes, Uckfield and Tunbridge Wells will serve Falmer Station as normal and then use the slip-road, head over the bridge and back down on the opposite slip-road towards Brighton where services will use The Keep to turn around and head eastbound on the A27. During these works the following bus stops will be suspended: Falmer Village - Eastbound
