Court Farm Road - Bus Stop Suspension - Southbound (Towards Hollingbury)

Due to tree cutting, the Court Farm Road Southbound (Towards Hollingbury) stop will be suspended between 09:00-14:30 on the 18th and 19th of September.

Please use the Nevill Way stop during this time.

'The Hanover’ bus stops to be renamed

Due to The Hanover pub being demolished, a number of bus stops in Queens Park are having their names changed with effect from 22nd September:

The four stops currently called ‘The Hanover' are being re-named 'Down Terrace'.

The stop currently called 'Down Terrace' will be re-named 'Freshfield Road’.

Eaton Road - Roadworks

12th - 19th Sep 2024

Due to roadworks on Eaton Road, we are currently unable to serve the Cricket Ground stop towards Goldstone Valley.

Please use Eaton Road or Law Courts during this time.

Ditchling Road - Road Closure - Diversion

10th Sep 2024 onwards

Due to roadworks Ditchling Road is closed towards Churchill Square.

Route 26, 46 and 50 heading towards Churchill Square are diverted via Fiveways, Stanford Avenue, Preston Circus and Viaduct Road to resume the normal route from the Open Market.

We'll be unable to serve Rugby Road, Princes Crescent and Bromley Road towards Churchill Square, with the nearest available stops being at Fiveways and Open Market.

A259 - Rottingdean - Longridge Ave - Roadworks

9th - 28th Sep 2024

The A259 between Rottingdean and Longridge Avenue will be resurfaced in sections over 18 nights between the 9th and 28th of September (19:00 - 07:00 each night).

There will be no diversions or stop suspensions needed although please allow extra time for your journey.

On the 9th and 10th of September between 19:00 - 07:00 our route 2 buses will need to terminate and restart from the Pond at Rottingdean and so will be unable to serve the High Street and White horse on these two nights.

Patchdean - Stop Suspension - Both Directions

9th Sep 2024 - 7th Oct 2024

Due to roadworks and temporary traffic lights, the Patchdean bus stop in both directions will be suspended between September the 9th - October the 7th.

Please use the Winfield Avenue stop during this time.

Furze Hill - Road Closure - Westbound (Towards Goldstone)

9th Sep 2024 - 25th Oct 2024

Due to roadworks Furze Hill will be closed Westbound (Towards Goldstone Valley) between the 9th of September and the 25th of October.

We will be unable to serve the Top of Furze Hill and Furze Croft stops (Westbound, towards Goldstone Valley).

There will be a temporary stop in place at the end of Temple Gardens, just before York Avenue.

Journeys towards Brighton Marina will be unaffected.

De Montfort Road - Stop Suspension (Towards Sussex University & Churchill Square)

5th Sep 2024 onwards

Due to roadworks taking place we are unable to serve De Montfort Road towards Churchill Square and Sussex University.

Please use either Bonchurch Road or the Bottom of Elm Grove stops.

Brighton General Hospital, Eastbound (Towards Woodingdean) - Bus Stop Suspension

4th - 19th Sep 2024

Due to roadworks, the Brighton General Hospital, Eastbound (Towards Woodingdean) stop will be suspended between the 4th and the 19th of September.

Please use the Race Hill or the Queens Park Junction stops during this time.

Evelyn Terrace - Bus Stop Suspension (Towards Shoreham and Steyning)

This was due to be completed on Friday the 13th however this is still ongoing with no expected end date at present.

Uckfield Bus Station - Road Closure

12th Aug 2024 onwards

Due to a road and bus shelter upgrade, the Uckfield bus station forecourt will be closed from the 12th August until further notice, expected to be until approximately 6th October 2024.

There will be a temporary bus stop on Bell Lane facing West (Outside Windmill Feeds), which all buses will serve.

Clock Tower (Stop N) bus stop Suspension.

Please use the stop at Chapel Place.

Lewes High Street - Armistice day - Road Closure - Diversion

10th Nov 2024

Due to the Armistice event taking place, Lewes High Street will be closed for approximately 45 minutes both ways.

Services from Brighton will divert via the A27 and the Cuilfail Tunnel.
Services towards Brighton will follow the same diversion in reverse, all 29s will serve the Brooks Road bus stop opposite the Caffyns garage, then use the roundabout to turn around.

We will not be able to serve Waitrose during this time.
