The annual Remembrance Sunday parades take place on Sunday 10th November with diversions in place across the network.
Brighton & Hove and Metrobus are giving free travel to veterans and serving members of the armed forces on this day.
Anyone wearing their military service medals or carrying a military ID card can travel free all day on our bus network.
Brighton City Centre
Between 09:00 and 10:00, Old Steine stop H will be closed .
All buses that serve Stop H for this duration will use stop U.
Between 10:00 and 12:00 the following diversions will be in place.
Southbound buses (Into Brighton)
5, 5A & 5B’s
From London Road Shops buses will divert via Seven Dials to the Clock Tower to resume normal route.
21, 46 & 49’s
Will divert into Edward Street, Marine Parade and then along the seafront, turning right up West Street and regaining normal route from the Clock Tower.
22, 28. 29, 29A, 48, 50, 78 & 79’s
Will divert into Edward Street and terminate before leaveing the Old Steine Northbound.
All Services that would have normally terminated at Churchill Square will serve St Peters church
Westbound buses (Towards Hove / Mile Oak)
Buses travelling from Eastern Road will divert via the Rock Gardens, then right on to Marine Parade, along the seafront, right up West Street to regain normal route from the Clock Tower a
Eastbound buses (Towards the Marina / Whitehawk)
Buses from Churchill Square / Brighton Station will operate via Queens Road and North Road using the stop at the bottom of North Road.
Those then heading north will turn left into the bus lane to resume normal route.
Those heading east will turn right onto the A23 and left into Edward Street observing all stops on route.
Coastal services will turn right into Upper Rock Gardens, then left into Marine Drive to resume normal route.
Services outside of Brighton
Eastbourne
Between 10:00 and 13:00, There will be various road closures including Cornfield Road and Lushington Road.
Tunbridge Wells
Between 10:00 and 12:30 buses will be terminating and restarting from Chapel Place
Southwick
The Green and Southwick Square will be closed between 10:30 and 11:45; buses on service 46 will
terminate in Kingston Lane at the end of Rectory Road to restart normal route on turning right into Rectory Road.
Peacehaven
The parade will go along Sutton Avenue to the Meridian Centre between 10:00 and 11:00.
Crowborough
The parade will leave Waitrose car park to go to Chapel Green at 14:00
Uckfield
The parade will be in the High Street between 14:00 and 15:00 and again between16:00 and 16:45
Rottingdean
The High Street will be closed from 11:30 to 13:00. From the bottom of Cowley Drive to the White Horse buses will operate via Ovingdean in both directions during this time.
