We are currently seeking an experienced Coach Maker to join our team at our Newhaven depot. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to join a skilled and supportive workforce, with an immediate start.
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining our fleet to the highest company standards, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance at all times. The working hours will be Monday-Thursdays 6:00-14:30 and Fridays 6:00-13:30, but flexibility may be required as hours may change in line with business needs.
- Key duties and responsibilities:
- Carrying out planned maintenance and repairs
- Undertaking accident damage repairs and refurbishments
- Travelling between depots for glass fitting as required (a company van will be provided for this purpose)
- Ensuring all work complies with company policies and Health & Safety regulations
- Maintaining high standards of repair
You will need:
- A full UK manual driving licence
- A PCV licence is desirable (or willingness to obtain)
- A recognised engineering qualification preferred
- Experience working with large passenger or commercial vehicles
- Proven experience in glass fitment
- A flexible and adaptable approach to work
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- The ability to work independently, taking pride and ownership in your work
This role is also open to applicants from light body repair background or body makers from other industries.
