Concessionary Travel
If you hold an English National Concessionary pass, then you are able to use it for free at certain times of day for bus travel. In some circumstances, you may be able to bring a companion with you for free too. The rules can vary based on which local authority has issued the pass, and which local authority you are boarding in, so please be aware that the times when you can use your pass are based on the place you are boarding, and not the place you are going to.
The rules that apply to concessionary travel can be seen on our helpful grid below.

Keep passes separate to bank cards
Ticket machines are programmed to accept a variety of cards and passes. We recommend storing credit and debit cards separate to concessionary passes to avoid accidentally paying with your bank card. This happens very rarely, but on the rare occasion that a credit or debit card is accidentally scanned instead of a concessionary pass, please contact customer service who will assist you further.
