There are no longer any special fares available in this county and a busID is the best option to get cheaper fares.
East Sussex
Under 19s living in East Sussex are able to apply for a 3i-D card which allows the purchase of a Freedom Ticket from the driver for £15.00 a week. The Freedom Ticket gives you unlimited travel on most buses* in East Sussex for seven days in a row, including weekends.
*please contact the bus operator before travelling to ensure they issue and accept the Freedom Ticket.
On Brighton & Hove buses, the Freedom Ticket is available to purchase and use on route 11X; 12/12A/12X; 13X; 14/14A/14B/14C; 27/27B/27C; 28; 29/29B/29X; and school buses 76A; 92; 492; 494.
Kent
11-16 year olds can apply for a Kent Young Person’s Travel Pass which provides free travel on journeys starting and/or finishing in Kent on weekdays between 6am and 7pm, except in August. An application fee applies. To apply and for more details, click here.
