April Fare Updates

From 13th April 2026 there will be changes to some fares previously subsidised by Brighton & Hove City Council's Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP). These fare rates ensure that we can continue to deliver a reliable, high‑quality service.
 
The adjustments include the phasing out of the subsidised unaccompanied child off‑peak fare, the short hop (for journeys within one fare stage) and the medium hop (for journeys within two fare stages).
 
These changes will help the council refocus resources that includes the introduction of new offers such as free travel for care leavers.
 
Up to four children under the age of 19 will continue to travel for free with a fare paying adult.
