Win a limited edition Brighton & Hove Buses 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle (the “Promotion”)

Terms of Participation in the Promotion (the “Terms”)

To enter the promotion all entrants must comply with the entry requirements set out in these Terms. The entrant acknowledges that failure to comply with these Terms may result in his/her/their disqualification from the promotion. By entering the promotion each entrant agrees that he/she/they (and if under the age of 16 years) their parent / guardian) have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms.  

Eligibility  

  1. To be eligible you must have a UK postal address and either:  

    1. Be aged sixteen years or over; or  

2. if you are under the age of 16, have the approval of your parent or legal guardian.    

Where an entry is made in accordance with clause 1.1.2, the Promoter reserves the right to request proof, to its reasonable satisfaction, that you have the permission of that parent or legal guardian to enter the Promotion.  If no proof is provided, the Promoter reserves the right to not accept your entry.  

Employees of the Promoter (Brighton & Hove Buses) or any of its affiliates, their families, dependants and agents and any other person connected with them are not eligible to Participate in the Promotion.  

2. Participation

2.1 The Promotion is only available for entry via the Promoter’s Instagram account

2.2 To participate in the Promotion:

  1. Participant must “follow” the Promoter’s Instagram account
  2. Participant must “like” the associated competition post 
  3. Participant must “comment” and “tag” 2 other eligible Instagram accounts in the associated competition post’s comments section
  4. Participants will be automatically entered into the prize draw twice if they “Share” the competition post to their “Instagram story” and “tag” the Promoter’s Instagram account

By entering the Promotion, you agree to be bound by:

We will have the right to disqualify your entry if, in our opinion, it breaches the provisions of these Terms and / or the terms of the social media site on which your entry is posted. 

3. Promotion and Winner Selection 

3.1 If you satisfy the Eligibility Criteria set out in 1, and participate as set out in 2, then you must enter between the hours of 14:00 on 29th January 2025 and 23:59 on 5th February 2025. 

3.2 One entry will be selected at random using a random generator and will win the Prize. 

3.3 The winner will be notified by a message via the social media site on which the entry was made on or around 7th February 2025.  If a winner does not respond by 10th February 2025, or any other period specified in our contact notice, of the notification being sent or is otherwise not available, the Prize will be forfeited by them, and the Promoter may select an alternative entrant to receive the Prize. The Promoter is not liable to you if you do not respond within the time stated in this subparagraph 3.3.

3.4 By entering the Promotion, you or your parent or guardian are deemed to be giving permission for you to enter the Promotion and for the Promoter to contact you as set out in 3.3 to provide to us a delivery address for the delivery of the relevant Prize. 

4. The Prize

  1. The winner will receive a limited edition Brighton & Hove Buses 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle

2. There is only one prize for one winner

5. Terms and Conditions

  1. Only one entry per person.  No purchase necessary.  

2. The Prize is not transferable and, unless offered by the Promoter, there will be no substitutions, or cash alternatives of, for the Prize.  

3. The Prize is subject to availability.

4. No expenses incurred in connection with entry to or participation in this Promotion will be paid.

5. The winning selection of the Promoter is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

6. The Promoter shall be entitled to refuse to accept any entry.  

7. All entries are subject to verification.  Incomplete, bulk, automated and third-party entries (including “voting exchange”) will be disqualified.

8. Failure to comply with these Terms will automatically render an entry void.  

9. The Promoter does not accept any liability for any entries which are late, lost, incomplete or rendered  

10. The name and county/town of the winner will be available for one month after the prize draw closing date by sending a stamped addressed envelope to the Promoter.

11. The winner consents to their personal data being used in this manner.  

12. Except as outlined in 11 and 12 above all personal data will be held and used by The Promoter in accordance with its https://www.buses.co.uk/privacy-policy  

13. Participants may print these Terms or send a self-addressed envelope to Marketing Department, 43 Conway Street, Hove, East Sussex BN3 3LT requesting a copy and they will be sent to you.  

14. The Promoter reserves the right to withdraw this offer or amend these Terms at any time without notice.

15. In the event of any dispute regarding the Terms, the Promotion itself or any other matter relating to, or arising out of, these Terms or the Promotion, the Promoter’s decision shall be final. No written correspondence or verbal discussion will be entered.

16. The Promoter is Brighton & Hove Bus and Coach Company Limited and Metrobus Limited, both of which have their registered office at 3rd Floor, 41-51 Grey Street, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 6EE.

17. This Promotion and these Terms are governed by the Laws of England and Wales and the Promoter and Participants agree that the Courts of England and Wales, exclusively, shall settle disputes.
