Service updates will take effect from Sunday 19th July, we recommend checking your journey times so you can get to where you need to go at a time that works for you.

An enhanced night service will be introduced between Brighton and Eastbourne, with hourly overnight buses operating seven nights a week. Routes 12 and 14 will also be simplified to provide a clearer and easier-to-understand network for passengers.

Alternative services are available on Cuckmere Community Bus routes 24 (Wednesdays & Fridays), 25 (Tuesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays) and 47 (Saturdays, Sundays & Public Holidays).

Discovery tickets issued by Brighton & Hove Buses, as well as concessionary passes, are accepted for travel on Cuckmere Community Bus services.

Route 12X will be improved to run up to every 12 minutes, with additional early morning and late evening journeys. Buses will now additionally stop at Slindon Avenue in Peacehaven and Beacon Road in Seaford. 

Routes 12 and 12A will be combined into a single route, operating as route 12, serving Newhaven Retail Park, Paradise Park and Chyngton. Buses will no longer serve Avis Way (currently served at peak times), with all journeys serving Paradise Park. Monday to Saturday services buses will run every 15 minutes between Brighton, Seaford and Chyngton, with buses continuing every 30 minutes to Eastbourne. On Sundays and public holidays, buses will run every 20 minutes.

The timetable has been updated on Saturdays to increase reliability due to increased congestion.

Routes 12, 14 and 27 will be timed to provide a better spacing, with a combined frequency of up to every 5 minutes on Mondays to Saturdays and up to every 7 minutes on Sundays between Brighton Station and Saltdean Lido in both directions.

Route N12 will be improved to operate hourly seven nights a week between Brighton Station and Eastbourne.

13XThe Sunday & Public Holiday timetable will be enhanced, with buses running every 15 minutes between Brighton and Eastbourne via Birling Gap and Beachy Head.

Buses will now additionally stop at Slindon Avenue in Peacehaven and Beacon Road in Seaford.

Journeys currently operating as routes 14A, 14B and 14C will be replaced by route 14. On Mondays to Saturdays, buses will continue to run up to every 15 minutes between Brighton and Peacehaven, with hourly off-peak journeys extending to and from Newhaven Sainsbury's.

Route 23 will be extended to replace routes 14B & 14C, maintaining direct links between Peacehaven, Brighton Marina and the Royal Sussex County Hospital.

On Sundays & public holidays, buses will run every 20 minutes between Brighton and Peacehaven, with many journeys now continuing to and from Newhaven Sainsbury's.

Routes 12, 14 and 27 will be timed to provide a better spacing, with a combined frequency of up to every 5 minutes on Mondays to Saturdays and up to every 7 minutes on Sundays between Brighton Station and Saltdean Lido in both directions.

Route N14 will be improved to operate hourly seven nights a week between Brighton Station and Peacehaven.

Many route 23 journeys will be extended beyond Brighton Marina to and from Rottingdean, Saltdean, North Peacehaven, providing new links between these communities and Brighton Marina, Lewes Road and the universities, seven days a week.

This will maintain direct links between Peacehaven, Brighton Marina and the Royal Sussex County Hospital, replacing the current route 14B & 14C journeys.
