7th July Service Update
On 7th July we are implementing more improvements to our services, including the exciting launch of the highly anticipated 1X express route, which will operate on a limited stop basis between Mile Oak, Portslade, Hove, Brighton, Royal Sussex County Hospital and Brighton Marina. This new route will offer fast connections between the east and west of the city, and the stops will be identifiable by new pink bus stop poles.

Increased frequency Monday to Saturday during the day, with services up to every 7 minutes to compensate for the withdrawal of route 1A. Increased frequency on Sundays with services up to every 10 minutes during the day and up to every 15 minutes during the evenings. New express route 1X will provide new faster journey options for many users - see below. |

Route 1A will be withdrawn, compensated by increased frequency on route 1 (see above) and the introduction of the brand new express route 1X - see below. New route 1X will replace the 1A on Mile Oak Road. |
New express route 1X will link Mile Oak, Portslade, Hove, Brighton, Royal Sussex County Hospital and Brighton Marina. It will only stop at certain stops to provide faster journey times. It will operate every 15 minutes during the day Monday to Saturday, every 20 minutes during the day on Sundays & Public Holidays, and every 30 minutes in the evenings. Revised timetable will be introduced to improve reliability. Additional early morning journeys between Hove and Shoreham will be introduced. Morning journeys from Shoreham Red Lion will start from High Street due to low usage on this section. Additional late evening journeys will operate to Rottingdean. |
