Progress continues on Valley Gardens road layout

Work is still underway to deliver the final layout for the Valley Gardens scheme, and changes will continue to take shape over the coming months that may cause some disruption to bus services.

At present, temporary traffic lights and pedestrian crossings remain in place. These will be replaced with permanent signals as the next phase of work progresses, helping traffic flow more smoothly and improving journey times.

Once complete, the area will feature upgraded paving, new bus shelters, and real-time bus information, creating a safer and more accessible space for everyone.

The Valley Gardens project will transform this area, improve road safety, simplify the road layout and make it easier for buses and people to move through this key part of our city centre.
