We are looking to recruit a Shift Fitter at Conway Street to take daily control of planned and reactive maintenance activities across our fleet, ensuring all safety aspects are managed and monitored.
The successful candidate will perform all aspects of the work required to keep our fleet up to company and DVSA requirements, working a 7 on 3 off, 7 on 4 off schedule, with a mix of early (05:00-13:51) and late (13:39-22:30) shifts.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Adhere to the maintenance schedule, inspections, and carry out quality checks
- Make sure vehicle availability is met, and reduce mileage to a minimum
- Take responsibility for 24-hour sheets, inspection sheets, and compliance, as well as Tranzaura defects and audits during your shift, and complete all associated paperwork
- Maintain strong communications with all departments
- Take responsibility for the security and health & safety of colleagues on the premises
- Cover colleagues’ tasks when required
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g. health and safety, data protection)
- Attend roadside breakdowns when required
You will need:
- A full manual car licence (PCV licence and IRTEC accreditation desirable)
- Experience in industry and NVQ level 3 (desirable)
- Competency with Microsoft products
- The desire to keep learning and developing, taking on all the training provided
