More than one child? Try Sibling SAVER
Discounts for brothers and sisters
If you have more than one child you can take advantage of our Sibling SAVER, which offers discounts to parents buying more than one 90 day or 12 month busID city or network SAVER.
Children must be living at the same address and both tickets must be bought at the same time but they can have different start dates.
The first busID card holder is charged normal price. Any additional children (purchased at the same time during the same transaction) are charged these discounted prices:
90 days | £20 off |
12 months | £90 off |
This great deal is normally only available on tickets purchased at Brighton Travel Shop, North Street, Brighton, BN1 1EB or at our Travel Desk at 43 Conway Street, Hove, BN3 3LT. If you are unable to see us in person, please contact our customer services team for further advice.
Please note when you are using a reduced price SAVER ticket on the bus it must be presented with your valid busID card. Failure to do so may result in having to pay the normal fare and could result in a penalty fare and withdrawal of your reduced price SAVER.
How do I get a busID card?
You can get a busID card by popping into Brighton Travel Shop at 27 North Street, Brighton, BN1 1EB or at our Travel Desk at 43 Conway Street, Hove, BN3 3LT. We do need a photo to be put on the card. If your child is with you we can take the photo on site. If they are not, then please bring a passport photo with you. You will also need to bring proof of their date of birth which can either be a Birth Certificate or Passport. Cards are printed whilst you wait and all documents along with the photo will be returned to you on the spot.
Alternatively, download an application form - most secondary schools have them as well - and post the form together with a passport sized photo and proof of age (copies are accepted) to us at 43 Conway Street, Hove, BN3 3LT. This can take up to five working days to be sent back to you and all original documents will be returned too.
If you are aged 14 - 18 you must have a busID card to travel at child rate half price fares otherwise we charge the full adult rate.
We renew your busID card when you become 10 and 15 but you can renew at any time if you look a little older. After you are 15 your busID will continue to be valid until the end of the August after your 18th birthday.
Please note that all tickets purchased on your busID key card must be completely used before the card expires or they will cease to be valid. Additional charges will be applied if a busID key card is used beyond its expiry date. Your key card expiry date can be found on the reverse side of your busID key card and also within your online account.
To access your account online you will need to provide us with an email address so we can activate your account. This can be done by phoning our customer services team on 01273 886200.
Alternatively you can also provide this information in person at Brighton Travel Shop or our Travel Desk at 43 Conway Street.
