Based at Crawley/Copthorne, the Stores Supervisor will manage our Metrobus stores operation, ensuring efficient supply and control of bus parts, tools and consumables to support vehicle maintenance and minimise downtime. Monday-Friday, 08:00-16:00.
Key duties and responsibilities:
• Oversee daily stores activities over all Metrobus sites, including stock receipt, storage and issuing of parts
• Maintain accurate stock levels and records and conduct regular audits, both physical and of systems
• Order parts when required and manage supplier relationships, plus work with suppliers to ensure all surcharge items are returned promptly and correctly
• Ensure asset management / inventory systems are kept up to date to track stock and process deliveries / returns
• Supervise and support stores colleagues, allocating work whilst providing guidance, and covering the team for any leave
• Support engineering teams with VOR parts to keep vehicles operational
• Generate reports and undertake stock data analysis
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and depot procedures
You will need:
Essential
• Supervisory or team lead experience in a stores / warehouse or automotive parts environment
• Ability to understand and use electronic systems
• Experience in Microsoft suite of applications
• Full driving licence
• Willingness to drive continuous improvement, with good communication and problem-solving skills and a strong focus on data
Desirable
• Experience of inventory management
• Stock control and supply chain management
