If you live in East Sussex, East Sussex County Council (ESCC) want to hear from you. As part of their Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP), the council is proposing bus priority improvement measures in Eastbourne, Newhaven, and Peacehaven. This initiative underlines the Council's commitment to making public transport more efficient, accessible, and user-friendly. This plan can lead to community-driven changes that directly benefit those who use the bus services.

The Bus Priority Measures Survey, which is open from 31st July to 25th September 2023, is your chance to help shape the future of bus transport in East Sussex. Residents can participate and directly influence the decision-making process. Your insights and feedback are vital for tailoring the proposed measures to fit the community's needs.

You can read more information about the proposals and complete the feedback survey by visiting the consultation website here.

ESCC are making the process even more accessible by organising public consultation events in various locations. Residents are invited to the following locations to learn more about the proposed measures and submit their feedback in person. Here are the places in which you can do so:

• Eastbourne Town Hall on 30th August -- 2pm to 6pm
• Telscombe Civic Centre on 7th September --  10am to 1pm
• Community House, Peacehaven on 7th September -- 2pm to 5pm
• Newhaven Outdoor Market on 14th September -- 11am to 2pm
• Hillcrest Community Centre, Newhaven on 14th September -- 3:30pm to 7pm
• The Foundry, Eastbourne on 16th September -- 9:30am to 1:30pm (located inside The Beacon shopping centre)

These events ensure every resident has the chance to be heard. Your input can have a direct impact on how bus services function in your locality, making travel more efficient, and ultimately benefiting the broader community.
