A27 Tunnel - Delays

Due to the closure of the A27 tunnel, our services are currently subject to delays.

Service 2's towards Shoreham are currently terminating and restarting at Shoreham Station.

Please allow extra time for your journey.

Coleridge Street Northbound (Towards Hangleton) - Bus Stop Suspension

3rd Feb 2025 onwards

Due to roadworks we are unable to serve Coleridge Street Northbound (Towards Hangleton).

During this time there is a temporary stop by the bridge near Prinsep Road on Sackville Road.

We would advise to use the temporary stop or use the Sackville Road Bus Stop during this time

Routes 1/1X
Until 12:30, buses will operate between Mile Oak & Churchill Square, and between Whitehawk and
Upper Bedford Street (Eastern Road).

Service 1X to/from the Marina will be suspended until 12:15 during which time a limited alternative
service on Route 7 will run every 10-15 minutes between the Marina and Upper Bedford Street.

Route 2
Until 12:30 these services will operate between Steyning/Shoreham and Churchill Square and
Rottingdean to Brighton College (Freshfield Way).

Routes 5/5A/5B
Until 12:30 services will operate between Hangleton and Churchill Square only and between
Patcham and Hollingdean to Preston Circus Northbound stop only, before returning.

Route 6
Normal service from Downs Park to Brighton Station.
From 10:00 until 14:15 buses from Brighton Station will run non stop to Imperial Arcade.

Route 7
From 07:00 until 12:30 this service will operate between George Street and Imperial Arcade Eastbound.

Service 7 will also run between Brighton Marina and Upper Bedford Street Westbound.

From 12:30 until 14:15 Service 7 towards Brighton Marina will serve Brighton Station, then continuing
down North Street to get back on route. Full route from 14:15.

Routes 12/12A &13X
The 06:02 & 06:38 Service 12 departures from Brighton Station will operate via Edward Street &
Lower Rock Gardens.

From 07:00 until 12:30, all 12/12A/13X Services will start and terminate at Upper Bedford Street
(Eastern Road), operating via Roedean Road and Eastern Road to the Upper Bedford Street stop
Westbound.

From 12:30 until 14:15, all 12/12A/13X Services will operate via Roedean Road and Eastern Road in
both Directions to and from Brighton Station. Services towards Brighton Station to use bus stop U in
the Old Steine.

From 14:15 services can go back to full normal route.

Routes 14/14B/14C
From 07:00 until 12:30, buses will start and terminate at Upper Bedford Street (Eastern Road),
operating via Roedean Road & Eastern Road.

From 12:30 until 14:15, buses will continue to operate via Roedean Road and Eastern Road in both Directions to and from Brighton Station. Services towards Brighton Station are to serve stop U at the Old Steine.
Route 18
This route will be suspended until 12:15. The first departures will be from the Pepper Pot at 12:20
and Brighton Station at 12:35.

Route 21
Until 12:30, buses from the Marina will terminate at the Pepper Pot. Buses from Goldstone Valley will terminate/Restart at Churchill Square.

Route 22
Until 12:30, buses will run between Woodingdean Via Elm Grove and Lewes Road Bus Garage only.

Route 23
Normal service.

Route 25
From 07:00 until 12:30, Route 25 will operate between the Universities and Lewes Road Garage
only.

Route 24
Until 12:30 buses will run between Hollingbury ASDA and Lewes Road Bus Garage only.

Route 26 (and 46 in Hollingbury)
Until 12:30, Service 26 will run between Hollingbury ASDA and Rugby Road East (stop on Upper
Hollingdean Road) only.

There will be no Service 46 between Rugby Road and Buxted Rise until the 12:16 departure for
Portslade Station. At 12:34 there will be a Service 46 from London Road Shops to Hollingbury.

Route 27
Until 12:30 Services from Westdene will terminate at Imperial Arcade. From Westdene buses will serve Brighton Station.

Services from Saltdean will use Roedean Road & Eastern Road, terminating at Upper Bedford Street
Westbound (Bingo Hall), then restart from the Upper Bedford Street stop Eastbound.

From 12:30 until 14:00 27 Services to Operate via Roedean Road & Eastern Road Westbound, and
Via St James’s Street, Eastern Road & Roedean Road Eastbound, services to Westdene to serve stop
H in the Old Steine during that time.

Routes 28/29/29A
Buses from Tunbridge Wells, Heathfield, Uckfield, Lewes & Ringmer will terminate/restart from
Lewes Road Bus Garage until 12:30.

A Service 28 will depart Old Steine at 12:32. Normal services from Churchill Square will resume from 12:49

Route 46 (Southwick)
Until 12:30, buses will run between Southwick and Churchill Square only.

Route 48
Until 12:30, buses will run between Lower Bevendean and Lewes Road Garage. Normal service from Bevendean will resume with the 12:31 departure from Bodiam Avenue

Route 49
Until 12:30, buses will run between East Moulsecoomb and Lewes Road Garage, and between Portslade Station and Churchill Square.

Route 50
Until 12:30 only a shuttle service between Lewes Road Sainsburys and Hollingdean will operate.
Normal service will resume from 12:30. The first Service 50 will depart Lewes Road Sainsburys at
12:30 for Churchill Square.

Route 77
Between 08:58 & 11:45 this service will operate between Churchill Square & Devils Dyke.

From 11:45 until 15:30, buses will terminate in Old Steine at stop Q, and will run via North Street,
Upper North Street and Regent Hill to Churchill Square where they resume normal route. The
Brighton Pier and i360 cannot be served during this time. Towards the Town Centre, buses will follow
their normal route but will terminate in Old Steine.

Normal route resumes with the 16:25 departure from the Palace Pier.

Route 78
This service will run between Lewes Road Garage and Stanmer Park only.

Normal full route from 12:40.

Route 79
This service will run between Rugby Road & Ditchling Beacon.

Then normal full route from 13:00 at the Old Steine.

Night Services unaffected.
