Now that you’ve got a scarily good fare deal, it’s time to explore the selection of spooky locations across our network:

Lewes - Regency 28, 29, 29A, 29B

There’s more to Lewes than meets the eye. The quaint town has a hidden spooky side with reports of phantoms across multiple locations, including a Chief Inspector roaming the halls of Lewes Police Station since the 1960s, and an apparition so real inside The Fifteenth Century Bookshop, it’s been asked for help by customers to find books!

Too scared to explore alone? Join a 90-minute guided Lewes Ghost Walk!

Eastbourne - Coaster 12, 12A, 12X

Take a trip on our award-winning Coaster bus to Eastbourne this Halloween and discover the ghostly tales of the Royal Hippodrome Theatre.
With many sightings and interpretations of haunting (inside Eastbourne’s oldest theatre, The Royal Hippodrome has been referred to as the UK’s most haunted theatre, and even has a designated Ghost Tour coordinator for its bookings!

Brighton & Hove - Multiple routes

How’s this for an inner-city spook spot; St Nicholas’ Church in Brighton plays a key role in one of Sussex’s most fascinating tales. The spooky story of Brighton’s Ghost Ship and Earl De Warrene of Lewes is a historical saga worthy of a spot on the silver screen. A life dramatically spared in battle due to a divine intervention gave way to a victory celebration with a godly presence, and finally, the result - a naval disaster.
This haunting of land and sea now manifests itself in sightings of a ghostly ship, and a Knight clad in armour appearing around the churchyard on moonlight nights. Visit if you dare!

Devils Dyke - 77 (weekends only)

The origins of the UK’s longest, deepest and widest ‘dry valley’, Devil’s Dyke are steeped in myths and legends. The devil himself is said to have dug the valley to drown those practising Christianity, with the final resting place for the devil and his wife under two humps of earth in the valley. In recent years, Devil’s Dyke has been the location of various hauntings, including ghosts from a Victorian amusement park that stood on the summit of the dyke.
