Brighton & Hove Buses Return as Proud Partners of Brighton & Hove Pride for 2026
Today

Brighton & Hove Pride is back! Taking place on 1st and 2nd August, Brighton & Hove Pride is one of the biggest calendar events of the year. With celebrations taking place all over the city, Brighton & Hove Buses have launched special Pride timetables for the weekend, with shuttle buses operating between Preston Park, the Old Steine and Waterhall Campsite.
Brighton & Hove Buses, proud partners of Brighton & Hove Pride and founding members of City Angels, will be taking part in the parade once again this year. Joining us as special guests will be representatives from Crawley Pride, Seahaven Pride, BourneOut Café and Drop-In Centre, along with the partner of the late George Montague, affectionately known locally as the "oldest gay in the village", whose name and legacy are honoured on the Brighton & Hove Pride bus.
The esteemed Pride bus will also return to Hove Lawns for the parade, showcasing the new livery that was launched last year following a public vote from local residents. It will be parked near the Peace Statue in partnership with mASCot, offering their users a safe and quiet space for families and children with Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC). The bus will then go on to serve as one of the shuttle buses transporting people to the celebrations in Preston Park, alongside the Martin Fisher Foundation Bus.
Pride timetables have been put into place to help residents and visitors get around and into the city, while shuttle bus services (route 600) will operate to and from Preston Park, the Old Steine and Waterhall Campsite. Pride timetables and information about shuttle services can be found here.
Passengers can also download the Brighton & Hove Buses travel app and get live bus information, service updates and the opportunity to purchase tickets, or use contactless, which is available on all of our buses.
Matt Ashton, Managing Director at Brighton & Hove Buses, said:
“Brighton & Hove Pride is extremely important to our community. We are always thrilled to support the weekend, not only by playing our part in making sure people can travel safely to and from the event, but in our partnership and support of Brighton & Hove Pride and all they do for local LGBTQ+ people.
We want everyone to have a fantastic time, which is why we’re putting on special services between Preston Park, the Old Steine and Waterhall Campsite. We highly recommend that people plan their journeys and allow plenty of time to get home.”

It is highly recommended that people check timetables and plan their journeys well in advance of the event.
