SAVER ticket

We have TWO types of SAVER tickets. These can be bought on the bus, on the mobile-ticket app, on the key card, or as a scratchcard

citySAVER

Our citySAVER ticket is ideal if you only travel around the city of Brighton & Hove. It can't be used on City Sightseeing or Night Buses.

The boundary points for citySAVER tickets purchased from bus drivers, mean they are NOT VALID for travel on:

  • Services 11X/12/12A/12X/13X/14/14A/14B/14C/N12/N14 between Saltdean (Bannings Vale) and Peacehaven, Newhaven, Seaford or Eastbourne.

Where Can I Buy A SAVER?

You can buy our citySAVER and networkSAVER tickets for periods lasting for 1 day; 7 days; 28 days; 90 days or a whole year.

We strongly recommend buying tickets in advance as in most cases this is cheaper. You can buy in advance on our mobile app. You can also buy in advance online on the key smartcard or from Brighton Travel Shop, 27 North Street, Brighton, BN1 1EB or from our Travel Desk at 43 Conway Street, Hove, BN3 3LT. Please note that purchases made for the key smartcard in store will cost slightly more. Full details on these prices.

Both the citySAVER and networkSAVER can be purchased for 1 day's travel directly from the bus driver on your first journey. The prices of these tickets from the driver are slightly more and prices can be found here.

We also have a scratch off style networkSAVER for 1 day or 7 days available from many shops, but these do cost a little more than buying in advance. A full list of shops selling our networkSAVER tickets.

Additional Information

All of our 1 day SAVER tickets have a day expiry time which starts at 04.30 and end the following day at 04.30. This doesn't take into account the time the ticket has been activated.

Please note that SAVER tickets purchased in advance on the key smartcard remain available for use for 12 months after the purchase date and then expire. Scratch off style SAVER tickets have an expiry date on them which ends on 31 December of the latest year given on the ticket, and cannot be replaced or refunded once this expiry date has passed.
